VISIT MALDIVES APPOINTS NEW AUSTRALIAN PR REPRESENTATIVE

  • Written by Jane Stabler

International marketing body for destination Maldives, (Visit Maldives) has announced the appointment of Evil Twin PR as their Australian representative, after a competitive pitch process.

Tasked with raising awareness of the destination’s myriad offerings, Evil Twin PR will work closely with Visit Maldives to encourage Australians to put Maldives on their post-pandemic travel lists, and to discover how much the country has to offer.

Managing Director for Visit Maldives, Thoyyib Mohamed, said of Evil Twin PR’s appointment, “We are thrilled that Evil Twin PR is joining the international Maldives family. The agency’s impressive travel and tourism experience will be a great asset in helping us increase the number of Australian travellers to the beautifully scattered islands of Maldives, one of the safest destinations in the world.”

Managing Director of Evil Twin PR, Jane Stabler, said, “Scratch the luxury surface that the destination is known for, and travellers of all kinds will discover something to love about this unique location. A pandemic and post-pandemic haven, the ‘one island, one resort’ concept that is unique to the Maldives makes it the perfect location to continue to isolate, respect social distancing, and to recharge and relax after what has been an incredibly anxious time for most people. We are so excited to be part of the global team to shine a spotlight on this incredibly diverse and beautiful destination, and to help more people discover the wonder of the Maldives.”

In addition to its natural ability to help people stay socially distanced and isolated, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has also granted the Maldives their ‘Safe Travels Stamp’ in recognition of the efforts to implement enhanced health and safety measures, in line with the WTTC global safe travels protocols. The major entry point to Maldives, Velana International Airport, has also received the ACI Airport Health Accreditation for consistent measures in line with ACI’s standards in ‘the new normal’.

With international travel becoming an increasingly regular part of the pandemic-exit conversation nationally, Australians can start planning a safe and easy trip to the Maldives, with access from various major cities, including Singapore which is being touted as one of the next travel bubbles.

Spiritual, romantic, colourful, thrilling, cultural, and above all – fun – Maldives offers the sunny side of life, every day of the year.
