North Sydney United Football Club has announced Optus as its junior football sponsor for the 2024 season, in a partnership that will help further grow the league and give young, local athletes the opportunity to play the sport they love in their community.

North Sydney United Football Club was established in 2010 and is well-known as a family club that is home to a strong pool of sporting talent on the north shore.

The partnership, which will see Optus support over 680 junior football players from the club, is a great fit for Optus, with both organisations focused on supporting the local community and giving local athletes of all abilities a supportive, safe and inclusive space to come together and connect with others.

North Sydney United Football Club President, Simon Cox, said he’s thrilled Optus has committed to supporting the 2024 season.

“Optus shares our passion for connecting to what matters in the local community and the people in it. Their commitment to local clubs and community initiatives mirrors our own values, making this partnership a perfect match.

“Their support provides the league with a huge boost and will provide a pathway for athletes to play at the highest level in the region and beyond.

“We’re excited to have them on board and can’t wait to see the impact we can make together,” concluded Mr Cox.

Nicholas Gibson, Local General Manager at Optus, said he is excited about the partnership with North Sydney United Football Club.

“Optus is always looking at ways to support local initiatives that give back to the community and are important to our customers and our team.

“In the area, we are aiming to help build stronger, connected communities through our support for important local causes, organisations and events. That starts right here in our local community and with partnerships like North Sydney United Football Club.
