The Health Benefits Of Taking Your Vacation Time Here In Australia.

Many people here in Australia of a working age are very reluctant to take their holidays, even though they are due. It might be because they are trying to climb the corporate ladder, and so taking your holidays might give the wrong impression. This is an intolerable situation to find yourself in, and if you have a boss who thinks taking your vacation time is bad, then maybe you might want to think about moving to a better company.

Any medical practitioner will tell you that you need to reduce your stress and anxiety levels whenever you can, and that includes booking yourself a Bali retreat when it’s time to take your vacation days. You do this not only for your mental health, but for your physical health as well. If you are still somewhat reluctant to take your vacation time here in Australia, the following are some of the health benefits that you can enjoy if you do.

  • It’s good for your heart - Trying to do a full-time job usually means that you leave your house early in the morning, and you don’t return until late in the evening. There is no notion in your head that you need to get back out there, to go for a run or a long walk. The only time that you’re going to get any real exercise is when you’re on your retreat.
  • It’s good for the mind - Taking time off from work is actually good for your brain; you will find that you will be able to work even harder on your return. This runs contrary to what many people believe, but it is true. By taking your vacation days, you will be more efficient and more effective in the workplace.
  • It’s good for your immune system - It’s hard to believe, but many people here in Australia are low in vitamin D. This comes as a surprise to many, because we live in a pretty sunny climate. The thing, however, is that we leave our homes early in the morning, and we don’t get back until late in the evening. There is no opportunity to get some sunshine, but there definitely will be when you go on your retreat to Bali.

Always take your vacation time, no matter what your boss thinks. This is your health that we're talking about here, so take it seriously.
