4 Common Website Design Mistakes That Are Ruining Your Business

  • Written by News Company

It is pointless to remind you how important having a good website for your business is. Regardless of whether your website is an old one or a new one, you need to constantly update it and follow the current trends, in order to keep up with the new-age technology and standards.

There is actually a list of 4 most common mistakes many businesses make when designing their website that can actually have a negative impact on the business. Your website must be functional and transparent, so if you have already made the following mistakes, make sure you correct them the sooner you can. They're actually ruining your business without you noticing.

Your Website Doesn’t Contain an About Us Page

Users or customers must know what your business is about, who you are and what your goal here is. Take a second and think about this as a customer yourself. How would you feel if you went to purchase something from a certain website and see no information whatsoever about the company? You won’t trust it, right? And you’ll walk away from the site.

Make sure you have all your products, awards, services, testimonials, the information about the company, the address, the phone, what you do and everything else clearly displayed on the homepage. Customers respect transparency and are grateful to brands which provide them with all the necessary info from the very beginning.

Your Website Is Not User-Friendly

When you look at your website, all you see is a complete chaos. There is no organisation whatsoever, no sitemap, no easy navigation and the only person who can find something on it is you. This is bad, really bad. You have to have a neat website, easy to navigate across, everything needs to be within a few clicks. This website is an example of how a site should be structured. As you click on it, you will see casinos listed and on the bottom of the list, you will see additional information about general casino stuff. This is what you need. You need order. Users here can easily get to the information they needed and searched for in the first place, so your website should be organized like that. Depending on what your business is about, you should hire an SEO expert to take care of your site and make sure that all the important details about your business are in plain sight and easily accessible.

Your Website’s Address Has No HTTPS

When customers visit your website and see that your website’s address has no HTTPS in front, they won’t even bother exploring it, since they won’t feel secure. And it is only logical. No one wants to go through sites with no SSL encryption or other security measures. But, if you have HTTPS, not only will your clients trust you, but Google will also start recognizing you. Google only recognizes and ranks safe sites, so if you want your clients to be able to reach your site, you must provide them with a secure website.

Your Website Is Not Compatible to Mobile Devices

In a time when no one takes their eyes off of their mobile phones and tablets, if your site is not mobile-friendly, you’re doomed. Your clients will probably look you up on their mobile phones, and not on their desktop devices, since, who uses PC for that anymore? If they look you up and find a website that cannot be accessed or does not perform perfectly on their phones, they will never visit your site again.
