Hub Australia tackles burn-out, offering a 'switch off' in nature

  • Written by Business Daily Media

In a move that highlights the growing importance of workplace wellbeing, Hub Australia, a leader in premium flexible workspaces, is celebrating an exclusive partnership with Unyoked (an innovative off-grid cabin company). This industry-first collaboration aims to address the rising levels of burnout among Australian workers by offering a unique opportunity to disconnect from the pressures of work and reconnect with the pleasures of nature.

With recent statistics revealing that 48% of Australians are feeling fatigued and burnt out, the partnership between Hub Australia and Unyoked comes at a critical time. Through this incentive, Hub Australia members will gain access to 186 free nights in Unyoked's luxury off-grid cabins, providing them with a much-needed break from the stresses of modern work life.

This initiative is part of Hub Australia's broader commitment to improving workplace wellbeing – a concern that over 55% of the company’s executive decision-maker members have highlighted in recent research. The partnership is also off the back of findings from a Global Nature Study conducted by Unyoked and AllTrails, which revealed that 95% of participants experienced improved wellbeing after spending time in nature, with a notable 16.1% decrease in burnout and work-related exhaustion.

Rebekah Murphy, Hub Australia’s Chief Experience Officer says, “Today there are greater requirements on employers to provide wellness and wellbeing support in the workplace because it's no longer a benefit or perk - it’s an expectation.”

“We want to help more people realise switching-off is a critical part of being switched on, and to find how nature is one of the most powerful ways to do it. We couldn’t be more stoked with this partnership as a big and meaningful step in that direction,” says Cameron Grant, Co-founder of Unyoked – highlighting the importance of rest in maintaining high levels of performance.

Beyond the cabin stays, Hub Australia will integrate Unyoked’s expertise into its everyday workspaces through “wellbeing rituals.” These initiatives encourage members to take small moments of calm throughout the day, whether it’s through listening to nature sounds or engaging in meditative practices. This partnership is just one part of Hub Australia’s WorkWell program, which is dedicated to promoting mental, social, and physical health in the workplace. With Australia ranking among the highest globally in workplace stress, Hub’s efforts to address this issue are setting a new standard in the industry.

For more insights into how Hub Australia is leading the way in workplace wellness, the company will soon release its annual Workplace Report ‘Love Where You Work’, which outlines strategies for creating more effective and meaningful ways of working.
