Brennan Bolsters Leadership to Accelerate Next Growth Chapter

Peter Soulsby

In a move to further embed cybersecurity at the heart of its business strategy and deliver sovereign secure-by-design solutions for its customers, Australia’s largest systems integrator, Brennan, has elevated Peter Soulsby to its Executive Leadership Team.

In addition to Soulsby’s promotion as its new Director of Cyber Security and member of the ELT, the company has also moved to strengthen its leadership bench with the appointment of former Macquarie Technology Group Chief Operating Officer, Robert Hanimyan, as its Director of Digital.

Rounding out recent organisational changes is the appointment of Karen Murfett as branch manager of the newly established Tasmania office, and Mathew Cremen as branch manager of the Newcastle office. These appointments reinforce the company’s commitment to customers through on-the-ground expertise in these key regional markets.

Both Murfett and Cremen are well-established IT professionals in their respective regions, with a combined 45 years of experience in the industry.

Managing Director of Brennan, Dave Stevens, said the appointments were part of the company’s strategic evolution of bolstering leadership capabilities and extending its national presence
“Cybersecurity has become a frontline issue for Australian business, with the stakes being higher than ever,” Mr Stevens said.

“Embedding it at the executive level sends a clear message to our customers - we understand that trust and resilience are central to their success.

“Peter’s appointment to the executive table reflects the critical role cybersecurity plays in ensuring business continuity and embedding sovereign secure-by-design practices across Brennan’s full suite of services.

“Our focus on cybersecurity, along with AI and automation, continued expansion into the Federal Government market and ongoing leadership in Managed Service are key anchors of Brennan’s growth chapter,”
Mr Stevens said the appointment of Robert as its Director of Digital and a member of the ELT was another key appointment to underpin Brennan’s next phase of growth.

“Robert brings top-tier leadership skills and has proven experience in driving innovation and scaling modern digital businesses, including Amazon Web Services, DXC and most recently Macquarie,” he said.

“These leadership appointments, along with the addition of branch managers in Tasmania and Newcastle, underscore our commitment to delivering true performance for customers nationwide - powered by local expertise on the ground.”
