Sydney, Australia--(Newsfile Corp. - December 14, 2022) - Procurement Marketplace has announced its expansion into engineering services. The online platform is for procurement professionals that democratizes access to jobs worldwide with equal pay for assignments based on skill sets.
The world is facing a critical shortage of engineering talent[1] and getting the right employee for a job will become more of a challenge in the future. Procurement Marketplace [2]is poised to fill this gap in the market with its expansion into engineering services so that employers can easily find employees from any part of the world who fit their specific requirements.
The portal will cover all facets including the commonly sought after mechanical, electrical. chemical and civil engineering fields as well as rarer specialties like nuclear, petroleum, military aerospace and optical photonics engineering. The platform is structured in such a categorized manner that employers can filter candidates by the scale of the project, the project objective and the experience level of the candidates to truly source the best candidates. Procurement Marketplace offers employers the chance to search for candidates in 157,000 categories across 26 industries ranging from construction to food utilities.
Clients and candidates go through a five-step process to get the best match. Employers first use the Interactive Categorization Engine to enter qualities and experience level of the candidate they are looking for. They then enter the platform's 'Collaborative Zone', where they are informed that a suitable professional is in the process of being secured. Thirdly, potential employees procurement professionals select their categories of expertise in the Interactive Categorization Engine, before they are interviewed as part of the vetting process by the Procurement Marketplace[3] administration. Once they move past this stage, they are listed as 'verified' candidates on the marketplace. Lastly, the professional with the profile that most closely matches the specification will be selected to enter the Collaboration Zone with the client, and the client can secure the services of the professional for his project by paying the required amount, either through an annual subscription or on a per project basis.
Professionals are ranked as a 'beginner' if they have up to five years' experience; an 'advanced' professional if they have between five-twenty years' worth of experience; or an 'expert' if they have more than twenty years of experience in the sector. Just like it did for procurement professionals, Procurement Marketplace will democratize employment for engineering professionals regardless of where they are located.
"There is an untapped market opportunity in the engineering services sector. Our platform makes it possible for clients to find just the right professional that they need by filtering them down to the category and subcategory in terms of the scope of their project, experience level and the kind of service they are looking for. At a time when there is a talent crunch in the STEM field, our platform expands the availability of the talent pool to the global level. It is the intricate level of categorization and our personal vetting process that makes us different from other companies in this sector. The goal is for employers to get the best candidate for every job and for jobseekers to get the job that matches most closely with their level of experience. Our goal is to make both our clients and the jobseekers happy," said Amy-Renee Hovorka, the Founder and CEO of Procurement Marketplace.
