Cliff and Floyd

In Book 1, The Adventure Begins…[2], Cliff and Floyd find a secret map and set out on a hunt for buried treasure, with the reader's help, perhaps they'll get that treasure after all! In Book 2, they continue to explore in The Hollowed Oak when they mysteriously shrink to just a few inches tall after climbing inside a peculiar oak tree. In Book 3, The Odd Egg, Cliff and Floyd find a rather large egg that starts to hatch. Curiosity killed the cat-but will it get the pig too? Find out as Floyd is taken for a wild ride!

The most recent release is Book 4 in the series, titled The Living Castle[3]. Cliff and Floyd find a castle that they have never seen before, and decide to explore! Once inside the castle, they realize perhaps they should have stayed out! Can you help Gus, the Purple Dragon, get back to his room? Can you help Cliff and Floyd escape the castle by answering the queen's riddles correctly? With the reader's help, hopefully they can!

The audience can interact with Cliff and Floyd's adventures by answering questions at the end of the book. This encourages the reader to pay close attention to the story and put their memory to work to ensure that Cliff and Floyd get out of whatever predicament they find themselves in! From helping them visit Wide Eyed Clyde to escaping The Gippy's Maze to finding the red throne, Johnson has designed each book to be an interactive experience.

Reviewers applaud Johnson's work, praising the "fantastic illustrations" and "clever rhymes." Fans of Giles Andreae's Billy Bonkers series will appreciate the humor, friendship, and shenanigans in the Cliff and Floyd series. Although these books are intended for children ages 5-10, there's nothing to stop parents, caregivers, teachers, and children in other age ranges from enjoying these refreshing stories as well.

Cliff and Floyd: The Adventure Begins… and its sequels are available for purchase on Amazon.com[4] or wherever books are sold. Book 5, entitled Cliff and Floyd: The Alien Encounter, is currently in development.
