SBCo, Founder/Director, Sally Burleigh has been appointed as the retained strategic PR and communications partner for Sydney’s modern-membership club, The Pillars, marking an exciting new chapter as the visionary Founders build on an already extraordinary first year since opening in May 2025.
Under the stewardship of internationally recognised business and hospitality executive, General Manager, Kieron (ex- KOKOMO) Hunt, the club is powered by an exceptional standard of hospitality professionals. From the globally experienced team shaping the membership journey, NEW Executive Chef, Chris (Printhie Wines) Lees, plus the key partnerships from Ruinart, Torbrek Vintners, Hennessy and Hendricks and more driving the the food and beverage offering; to the events experts consistently delivering the exceptional - every individual contributes to what has become one of Sydney’s most compelling private member communities.
Say Hunt: "At The Pillars, every decision we make is intentional - and that extends to who we choose to partner with. Aligning with true experts in their field isn't just a strategic choice; it's a reflection of the standard we hold ourselves to every day. Sally and the SBCo team bring exactly that - deep expertise, genuine understanding of our world, and a shared commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow with curated purpose, partnerships like this one are what ensure our story is told with the same care and integrity that defines everything we do inside the club."
Occupying four meticulously restored levels within one of Sydney’s most distinguished heritage addresses at 11 Barrack Street, The Pillars has quickly established itself as a powerful new force in the city’s corporate and cultural landscape. Housed in Sydney’s oldest bank above the award-winning Bentley Group’s Eleven Barrack (a Pillars partner), the CBD’s contemporary, modern-membership club has been designed as a sanctuary for entrepreneurial, creative and influential leaders, merging heritage architecture, show-stopping design and curated programming to create a place where ideas, opportunity and community naturally happen.
SBCo’s Burleigh, adds: “What has been built at The Pillars in just one year is remarkable. This is a club defined not only by its heritage setting, but by the care, pride and cultural standard set by the people inside it. SBCo’s role is to complement that story - positioning The Pillars as the definitive destination for connection, creativity and influence in Sydney.”
For Burleigh, the partnership is more than a communications appointment. With a core client set spanning arts and design, founder-led enterprises in fashion, luxury, beauty, destination, and specialised sport project-‘pillars’; plus long-held luxury hospitality expertise gleaned from years of launching celebrated restaurants, airlines, airports, hotels and resorts; having watched the growth of The Pillars across its formative year, the agency has had a front-row seat to the evolution of its leadership, culture and team - and to the standards being set behind the scenes that members and guests experience every day.
The partnership launches with a tightly curated series of private media previews, offering select journalists and industry leaders exclusive access to the club. This will be followed by a strategic calendar of member and media events designed to deepen awareness and cultural relevance, supported by ongoing retained PR activity to ensure The Pillars remains at the forefront of Sydney’s most discerning conversations.
