Contemplate your Cart this Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Australians are being warned to ponder their purchases this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and consider ‘reflecting’ rather than ‘regretting’ another meaningless online purchase.

The countdown has begun for the much-awaited Black Friday and Cyber Monday global shopping events where consumers are expected to kick-start their holiday season spending. It’s estimated that Australians will spend nearly $500 on purchases that they either regret, don’t need, or can’t even remember buying with 42% of consumers admitting they have regretted a Black Friday purchase**.

This year, a unique trend is emerging, pursuing deals that will last a lifetime. Safewill, a digital platform that allows you to write a legally binding Will online is urging Australians to make a purchase with impact rather than impulse and protect their life’s work for the good of their families.

Safewill is a pioneering digital estate planning platform that is changing the way Australians think about and plan for their end-of-life. The platform allows users to create comprehensive digital estate plans, from lawyer-drafted Wills to Enduring Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship, and access specialist legal advice at the click of a button.

According to recent data* Australians are expected to spend an average of $482.90 during the period with many favouring technology and electronics, followed by Christmas gifts and fashion and clothing. Half of shoppers said they want to save money on items they know they’ll need in the new year.

Safewill CEO, Adam Lubofsky said “We’re all seeking the best deals and opportunities, investing in your family’s future through a well-drafted Will is the best investment you can make. It’s not only about protecting your assets but ensuring that your loved ones are taken care of when you’re no longer here to do so yourself.”

“For the time it takes to trawl through countless websites scouring the internet for deals, you could complete your Will in ten minutes and have peace of mind forever more.”

Recent research*** has found that 48% of Australian adults don’t have a will and the reason why is that 40% have no idea where to start.

“Everybody needs a Will and Safewill makes the process easier. Why not take advantage of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. It will be the best $80 you’ve spent this year. With the Cost of living crunch, we are making this vital process more accessible and affordable than ever. A Will with Safewill normally costs $160,” said Adam Lubofsky.

Black Friday sales begin on Friday, November 24 and Cyber Monday falls on Monday, November 27.
