Swoop Wins Postpaid Mobile Plan of the Year (Large) at WeMoney Awards

Postpaid Mobile Plan

Swoop Holdings has been named winner of Postpaid Mobile Plan of the Year (Large) at the 2026 WeMoney Telco and Broadband Awards.

The Large category recognises higher-data postpaid mobile plans. Swoop’s Moose Mobile brand won the Small category in the same results, and was named finalist for Best for Value.

Every data tier went to a different brand

The postpaid plan categories run across five data tiers, from Extra Small to Extra Large. In 2026, each tier was won by a different brand.

Swoop Holdings placed in two categories through its Swoop and Moose Mobile brands.

The awards include both plan-level categories and provider-level categories, which measure different aspects of the market.

The Large category also changed hands between years, going to a different provider in 2026 than in 2025.

How the awards work

WeMoney is an Australian personal finance platform that runs annual awards across banking, insurance, energy and telco, covering mobile, nbn®, fibre, 5G and 4G home internet and mobile broadband.

Categories are assessed using WeMoney’s published methodology, with the highest-scoring product receiving a Gold Badge and the next highest receiving a Silver Badge where applicable. Judging is conducted using WeMoney’s published methodology and judging panel process, with details available on the WeMoney website.

The full postpaid mobile results are published on WeMoney’s site.

What this means for business buyers

A result spread this widely changes the order in which a shortlist should be built.

  • Start with the data tier, not the provider. When a different brand wins at each allowance level, filtering by brand first narrows the field in the wrong order.
  • Separate provider awards from plan awards. They measure different aspects of the market and answer different questions.
  • Treat results as current rather than settled. Categories change hands between years, so an award consulted at the last renewal may no longer describe the market.
  • Confirm actual usage before comparing. Choosing the wrong tier makes the comparison irrelevant regardless of which brand won it.
