Pink diamonds seen as a new investment opportunity

  • Written by Business Daily Media

With interest rates at record lows, increased volatility on the share market coupled with  exceedingly high property prices, Pink Diamond Capital is calling on Australians to think about  investing in uncut pink diamonds.

Pink Diamonds have had strong historical performance and they have appreciated 362.2% from  January 2005 to April 2019, outperforming all other traditional assets. Investment grade Pink  Diamonds are such a strong performer because the world’s annual natural Pink Diamond supply is  highly limited. Additionally, Rio Tinto’s Argyle mine in Western Australia, its primary source, ceased  all mining operations at the end of 2020. Interestingly, less than 1% of diamonds discovered at Rio  Tinto’s Argyle mine are pink, which constitutes 90% of the global Pink Diamond supply.

As a result, investors have seen Pink Diamonds appreciate 15-20% in value each year spurred on by  high market demand. The value of Pink Diamonds is free from financial markets, consumer spending,  or other diamond jewellery demand and they maintain their value in tough economic times such as  the Global Financial Crisis, where prices remained stable. Pink Diamonds are benchmarked on the  U.S. dollar as the standard pricing mechanism, this allows investors to add a diversified asset to their  portfolio as a hedge against the Australian dollar.

Pink Diamonds make a great wealth preservation asset which can be included in your estate and  passed on to the next generation. They are easier and more discreet to buy, store, and transfer  ownership compared to other asset options such as property, artwork, bars of gold, platinum, and  other precious metals.

Pink Diamond Capital is an investment diamond firm that helps investors acquire rare, Australian  mined Argyle Pink Diamonds. As a brokerage firm, we act as agents for our clients to provide an end to-end bespoke investment service – from acquisition to secure logistics, independent valuations,  opening a safety deposit box (if required), and selling when the time comes.
