Belvedere continues Christmas tradition of donating toys to children in need

Christmas is a time for giving, and LewisLand Group is helping brighten the season for sick children through its donation of $10,000 worth of toys and gifts to Redcliffe Hospital.

The Belvedere has partnered with local retailer Mr Toys Toyworld in Rothwell to deliver items ranging from onesies for newborns to gifts for teens up to 18 years of age.

Danielle Loader, Marketing Manager at The Belvedere, said no one should have to spend Christmas in a hospital.

“It’s a tough time of year for anyone to be unwell and apart from their family and friends, especially kids doing it tough,” Ms Loader said.

“This has become a real tradition for all of us at LewisLand Group, and we’re proud to again be able to help these kids enjoy their Christmas just a little more.

“We’ve been able to provide more than 130 gifts for children aged from 0 to 18, including clothing, safe plush toys and books for the 0 to 3s, games, dolls, toy cars and trucks for the 4-9-year-olds, and collector cards, backpacks and skincare/beauty products for older children.

“We hope these items will help to make being in hospital for Christmas just that little bit more bearable.”

The gifts will be distributed to patients in the Redcliffe Hospital’s Emergency Department, Maternity and Neonatal Units, Paediatric Ward and Child Protection Units.
