Breaking Down Barriers to Disability Inclusion in the Workplace

Arriba Group is excited to announce the “You CAN Ask That” webinar, an essential event for employers and industry professionals dedicated to fostering disability inclusion in the workplace. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM AEST, this free virtual event on Zoom will bring together leading disability advocates, thought leaders, and experts to address the often-unspoken questions about how employers can support people with disability.

This webinar offers a unique opportunity for Australian employers to engage with a distinguished panel of experts, creating a safe space for open dialogue. By confronting misconceptions and sharing practical insights, the event aims to promote understanding and provide actionable strategies for building inclusive workplaces where everyone feels valued.

“Our goal is to empower employers by providing them with direct access to those who live and breathe these experiences every day,” said Marcella Romero, CEO and Founder of Arriba Group. “It’s about opening hearts and minds, dispelling fears, and fostering a deeper understanding of what true inclusion means.”

Dr. Dinesh Palipana OAM, a pioneering doctor and disability advocate, emphasises the importance of inclusion: “Inclusion is not just a moral imperative; it’s about building environments where everyone, regardless of ability, feels valued and has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully,” said Dr. Palipana. “This webinar is a chance to reshape how we see each other and to create a world where differences are celebrated, not just accommodated.”

Kerry McQuillan, Director of CX - Client and Talent at Randstad Group Australia, underscores the webinar’s value“By embracing inclusivity, businesses not only enhance their company culture and reputation but also unlock diverse perspectives that drive innovation and success. Being an employer of choice means creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. This event offers practical strategies to make that vision a reality.”
