Reece Rackley Appointed as President of the Australian Swim Schools Association

In a move to bolster its leadership and ensure sustained growth within the aquatic industry, the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) has appointed Reece Rackley as its new President.

Reece Rackley brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as Vice President and on the ASSA Board since its inception in 2016. A seasoned professional in the aquatic industry, Reece has a remarkable background as a swimming and triathlon coach, and as CEO, Reece has taken Rackley Swimming from a single swim school in Burleigh to a multi-brand organisation responsible for several aquatic-based leisure facilities.

With a family legacy spanning three generations in the aquatic industry, Reece possesses an inherent understanding of the nuances involved in operating aquatic-based leisure facilities. His dedication to the industry's growth and development is evident through his past contributions and

accomplishments, including the expansion of City Venue Management and Rackley Swimming across Queensland through his role as CEO.

The association extends its gratitude to outgoing President Wayne Pollock for his dedicated

leadership over the past six years. Wayne will continue to serve on the ASSA Board in the capacity of Vice President, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing support for the Association's future.

While ASSA undergoes this leadership transition, the broader aquatic community eagerly anticipates the upcoming International Swim Schools Association (ISSA) Spectacular in Dubai.

ISSA, founded in 2017, serves as a global platform to unite swim schools, fostering collaboration and championing best practices. The association is dedicated to harnessing international expertise, experience, and passion to develop best practices, educate, and inspire, with the goal of making swim schools positive influencers in their communities.

ISSA's core values - Leadership, Collaboration, Safety, Sustainability, and Inclusion - underscore its commitment to driving excellence in the industry. Building on the success of the 2020 International Swim School Conference in Singapore, the 2024 ISSA Spectacular in Dubai, scheduled for January, promises to be a landmark event.

Set against the backdrop of Fairmont The Palm, Dubai, from January 15 to January 18, 2024, the ISSA Spectacular will focus on the three key pillars of success - People, Product, and Process. Attendees can expect invaluable insights and strategies from presenters representing various facets of the industry across 21 countries. The event is not only a knowledge-sharing platform but also one of the industry's largest networking events globally in 2024.

As Reece Rackley assumes his role as President of ASSA, the aquatic industry looks forward to a dynamic period of leadership and innovation, culminating in the ISSA Spectacular where industry professionals from across the globe will converge to elevate their knowledge, foster collaboration, and shape the future of swim schools globally.
