Demand for Back Office Support, Digital Content Creators and eCommerce Experts are on the Rise


Fiverr’s 8th Business Trends Index reveals that Australian businesses are looking for ways to streamline their back office and are also investing in their web strategy to pursue new growth opportunities 

 

Fiverr International Ltd. (NYSE: FVRR), the company that is changing how the world works together, today released its 2023 Business Trends Index, a collection of trending searches for freelance digital services on Fiverr's platform.  Among the millions of inquiries on the marketplace, back office support, digital content creators and eCommerce experts all saw the largest percentage increase over the last six months, as businesses across industry sectors turned to freelancers to help them explore new avenues for growth. 


This year’s Index reveals three major themes for Australian businesses:

Brands are investing in eCommerce to reach new markets and to capture modern consumers during the holiday shopping  season

Businesses are investing in back-office support to drive greater efficiencies across customer support and administration 

Content is king and demand for content generation and those with specialist skills in 3D design is in hot demand


“Despite inflation and a turbulent economy taking its toll on Australian businesses, more businesses are embracing freelancers to drive a new level of efficiency in the back office and tap into the experts they need to continue to evolve and keep pace with the modern-day consumer by finding new ways to innovate across web strategy and content creation,” said Oliver Woolrych, Fiverr Australian Manager.

eCommerce experts help businesses capture new markets and the modern consumer


In the wake of global economic shifts, retail businesses are navigating a quickly evolving consumer landscape. The months leading up to key shopping moments, including the holiday season, are critical for businesses adapting their online sales strategies to more effectively meet modern consumers. Fiverr searches reveal retailers are seeking freelance experts to help them with everything from Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to doubling down on their investment in TikTok with help building promotions and exploring alternative sales avenues via Shopify and dropshipping.

Google SEO (+813%) - earning range between $500- $2,000

TikTok promotion (+381%) - earning range between $500- $2,500

Shopify Website Builders (+233%) - earning range between $250 - $850

Shopify Dropshipping (+193%) - earning range between $700 - $3,000


Digital content creators, especially for social media, are in hot demand


There is a surge in demand for digital content creators, particularly in the realm of social media. This heightened demand is fueled by increased investments by businesses in their online strategies and social media platforms. It highlights the ever-expanding role of social media in acquiring customers and underscores the significance of creating compelling and captivating content.

3D rendering (+1595%) - earning range between $600 - $1600

User Generated Content Creator (+670% growth) - earning range between $400 - $800

Animated 3D video (+585%) - earning range between $800- $3,000


Back office support helping businesses drive greater efficiencies


Back-office support plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency for businesses. While artificial intelligence has witnessed significant growth in automating various processes, there remains strong demand for human assistance in back-office administrative tasks. This human touch is essential to help free up managers and business owners to focus on driving their companies forward.

Proofreading English (+1,241%) - earning range between $150 - $650

Virtual Assistant Social Media (758%) - earning range between $200 - $900

Chatbot development (313%) - earning range between $300 - $800
