Australia’s leading bed maker and expert in sleep wellness accelerates global expansion

A.H. Beard, the Australian-made and family-owned bed maker and sleep expert, has unveiled ambitious global expansion plans as it marks its 125th anniversary. With sights set on growth in Asia, Europe and the UK next year, A.H. Beard is not only celebrating a legacy of craftsmanship, but a future dedicated to improving sleep for people around the world.

According to the Sleep Health Foundation, half of Aussies aren’t getting enough sleep which significantly impacts our health, happiness and motivation. A.H. Beard has redefined the importance of sleep with its 'Premium Sleep' philosophy, reflected in cutting-edge product development and educational work through its Sleep Wellness Centre. Now this philosophy is being taken to a global stage.

A.H. Beard’s expansion enhances an already significant global presence in markets including China, the US and Brazil. As well as new market expansion, the company is investing in a new production factory in Christchurch, New Zealand to respond to the growing local demand for Premium Sleep solutions.

“As A.H. Beard has evolved, our commitment to quality and innovation has only strengthened. Today, with factories in New Zealand and seven facilities across Australia - one in every state - we're proud to be at the forefront of sleep wellness innovation. This expanding presence empowers us to meet the growing demand for our products, both locally and internationally.” said Garry Beard, Chairman of A.H. Beard.

Next year, A.H. Beard will also be launching a new luxurious collection to the global market that showcases the brand's cutting-edge sleep technology. The exciting project will feature the finest fabrics, exclusive and high-quality fibres, and award-winning innovations, all exquisitely crafted and designed to deliver the ultimate premium sleep experience.

It’s this unique approach to product development — interweaving traditional, artisanal production techniques with innovations in design, fabric and build — that has propelled A.H. Beard's global expansion. This time-honoured approach to craftsmanship has been passed down through five generations of the Beard family.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 125 years of enriching lives through Premium Sleep, and we’re just getting started,” said Allyn Beard, Director of A.H. Beard. “We’re continuously looking for new ways to innovate and new markets to enter, all while honouring the culture, heritage and traditions that make us the business we are today. I look forward to sharing our Sleep Wellness philosophy further across the globe, proving that an Australian-made brand can lead on the world stage. Here’s to the next century and beyond.”
